Leading With Integrity

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles, and it’s a must for student leaders at every school. Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles, and it’s a must for student leaders at every school.

Talking Points:

  • Integrity means being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
  • In school, integrity means you don’t cheat off of others. And if someone cheats off of you, you are willing to kindly confront them.
  • In sports, integrity means you go all out and don’t look to cut corners.
  • Three reasons why you should have integrity:
    • #1: People will trust who you are.
    • #2: People will respect what you do.
    • #3: People will copy your integrity.

Social Skills for Leaders

In this lesson we lay the groundwork for great leadership by discussing 10 basic social skills every student leader will need.

  • Skill #6: Be approachable.

  • Skill #8: Don’t project stereotypes.
  • Skill #9: Don’t be weird.
  • Skill #10: Get out of your comfort zone.
