Are you experiencing Zoom fatigue? Here are five reasons why you may be done with online meetings.

Talking Points:

  • Our minds are together when our bodies feel we’re not. That dissonance, which causes people to have conflicting feelings, is exhausting.
  • Silence creates a natural rhythm in a real-life conversation. However, when it happens in a video call, you become anxious about the technology.
  • When you’re on a video call, you know everyone is looking at you; you are on stage, so there comes the social pressure and feeling like you need to perform.
  • The video call is the reminder of the people we have lost temporarily. It reminds you we should really be in the workplace together.
  • Most of our social roles happen in different places, but now the context has collapsed.
